Job summary

Eastside Food Co-op in Northeast Minneapolis invites qualified individuals to join as Manager on Duty. The MOD supports all store operations, ensures excellent customer service, and maintains a safe, clean facility while being the first point of contact for shoppers.

Ideal candidates will have leadership experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Weekend and evening availability is required to help our community-focused co-op stay open

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or grocery operations preferred.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and work with limited supervision.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Open, close, and secure the facility as scheduled.
• Ensure safety and security of staff, shoppers, property, and assets.
• Respond to emergencies and document issues involving customers and staff.
• Communicate with department leads to meet shift goals.
• Enforce store policies with sound judgement.
• Maintain safety procedures and logs.
• Monitor security logs and temperature checks.
• Prepare Community Room for events as needed.
• Provide staffing support to operations departments.
• Maintain frequent communication with management with updates.
