Job summary

Discovery Senior Living in Tampa, FL, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our 7P–6A night shift at 17470 Brookside Trace Court, Tampa, 33647. This part-time role delivers hands-on nursing care per resident plans, monitors conditions, administers meds, and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates hold a current LPN license, have 2+ years in assisted living or long-term care, and are comfortable with electronic documentation.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license, or a Professional Registered Nurse as per state regulations.
• Minimum of two (2) years of licensed nurse experience.
• Experience in assisted living, long-term care, or a skilled nursing environment preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Effective organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and flexible schedules as required by the community.
• Proficiency with electronic documentation systems and basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to residents per established care plans and procedures.
• Conduct ongoing assessments and monitor changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document accordingly.
• Coordinate care with physicians, families, pharmacies, and other providers.
• Support health promotion and wellness initiatives within the community.
• Ensure accurate, timely clinical documentation and care plan updates.
• Collaborate with caregivers and leadership to ensure high-quality care delivery.
• Respond to resident concerns and emergencies with sound clinical judgment.
