Job summary

Omaha Sports and Games is seeking a Customer Service & Inside Sales Representative to handle evenings and weekend contact with customers across calls, texts, and emails. You’ll help buyers by answering questions, guiding product choices, and closing sales with a focus on outstanding service.

You’ll follow up on abandoned carts and quotes, nurture sales opportunities, and maintain accurate notes while delivering a top-tier customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming customer phone calls immediately and professionally
• Respond quickly to customer text messages and emails
• Assist customers with product questions, shipping information, order updates, availability, and purchasing concerns
• Utilize our website, manufacturer resources, internal systems, and other tools to provide accurate information
• Take ownership of customer inquiries and follow through until their questions or concerns are resolved
• Ensure every customer receives friendly, knowledgeable, and professional service
• Help customers select the right products for their needs and budget
• Confidently recommend products and guide customers toward purchasing decisions
• Identify opportunities to upsell accessories, upgrades, and complementary products
• Overcome common purchasing objections and confidently ask for the sale
• Follow up with abandoned carts, open quotes, previous inquiries, and other sales opportunities
• Proactively contact potential customers during slower periods to generate additional revenue
• Help convert website visitors and incoming customer inquiries into completed purchases
• Work independently during evenings and weekends with limited direct supervision
• Manage multiple customer conversations across phone, text, and email
• Prioritize incoming customer inquiries while staying productive with outbound sales opportunities
• Maintain accurate customer notes and follow up information
• Recognize when an issue requires management assistance and communicate it appropriately
