Family Pathways seeks a part-time Domestic Violence Shelter Advocate in Cambridge, MN to provide crisis intervention, intake, advocacy, and group activities for shelter residents. The role supports trauma‑informed care and a safe, healing environment on evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide crisis intervention, information and referrals.
• Capable of intake and orientation within 24 hours of shelter entry.
• Secretarial and record-keeping duties for residents and cases.
• Must have a clean MVR and pass a background check with fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention and direct service on a 24‑hour crisis line.
• Facilitate Primary Advocate approach and coordinate personal/legal advocacy.
• Complete intake forms with new residents within 24 hours.
• Plan resident groups and activities as directed.
• Assist residents with problem‑solving, de‑escalation, and safety planning.
• Provide transportation for residents when necessary.
