Job summary

Albany Technical College seeks a full‑time Biology Instructor for our Associate of Science Nursing Degree Programs. This 12‑month position is based at the Dougherty Campus, with possible local travel. Weekend/evening availability is required.

Instructors will teach Anatomy & Physiology and Microbiology at the associate degree level and manage diverse delivery modes. The role involves evaluating student progress, tutoring nursing students, collaborating on curriculum, and serving on

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in the teaching discipline or related discipline with at least 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.
• A Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.), Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) is acceptable.
• Knowledge of online instructional delivery and learning platforms used in post-secondary education.

Responsibilities

• Instruct classes in Anatomy & Physiology and Microbiology at the Associate Degree levels.
• Manage dual-enrollment ground, online, lab, clinical and hybrid classes.
• Evaluate student progress and provide tutoring to nursing students.
• Collaborate with department peers on curriculum and serve on cross-functional teams.
• Prepare and maintain documentation and assist with recruitment and retention efforts.
