Job summary

Freight Breakers is seeking a Shift Lead to supervise daily warehouse operations, manage staff, and ensure accurate shipping/receiving and inventory control. This role focuses on productivity improvements, safety, and maintaining a positive work atmosphere, with a Fri–Sun night schedule (7:00 pm–7:30 am).

You will train new associates, track trailer progress, and coordinate with customer invoicing to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

Experience in warehouse management or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, including 3PL operations.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory and operations.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and other departments.

Responsibilities

Account for team's attendance, evaluate the work area for safety concerns and divide the day's goal amongst the team.
Live data tracking of trailer progress, accounting for team's whereabouts/progress
Communicating with customer for invoicing.
Teaching and training new associates.
Ensure work areas are clean for handoff.
