Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Warehouse Selector for our Elizabeth, NJ distribution center. You will select and move product between loading dock and storage, using pallet jacks and forklifts, to fulfill customer orders on a Sunday-Thursday evening shift starting at 5:30 PM.

You must be able to work safely, lift 10–100 lbs, pass background and drug checks, and become EPJ certified during training. Competitive pay with benefits starts Day 1 and includes 401(k) matching and PTO.

Qualifications

• Ability to work scheduled shifts, including required overtime.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, stack, and/or pull product weighing 10-35 lbs. regularly and up to approximately 60-100 lbs. (location dependent).
• Ability to work in multi-temperature environments (dry, cooler, freezer).
• Ability to pass a post-offer drug test.
• Pass criminal background check in post job offer process.
• Ability to become EPJ certified within the new-hire training period.
• Ability to complete required training independently.

Responsibilities

• Reviews work schedule, obtains supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations.
• Performs safety check on pallet jack / forklift to be used and ensure that all other safety devices are functioning properly.
• Puts on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
• Places pallets on pallet jack and operates along assigned multi-level racks and locate products according to order sheets.
• Manually places the appropriate stock items on pallet from pick slots and racks as required. Uses single and/or double pallets as directed.
• Transports completed palletized customer order to shipping dock staging area. May be required to shrink-wrap pallet for staging.
• Removes batteries requiring recharging, replace with charged batteries, or attach re-charger and complete vehicle inspection checklist.
• At the end of the shift, secures all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Meets required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
• Follows all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines.
• Ensures work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
