Job summary

Phoenix Metals Company in Tampa, FL, is seeking a warehouse associate to perform inventory handling, order picking, loading/unloading, and material movement using forklift and other equipment. You will follow documented procedures, tag materials, and maintain accurate records.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently, stand or walk most of the shift, and meet safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required or preferred.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and perform basic math computations.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with supervisors and co-workers.

Responsibilities

Generally responsible for completing basic, routine tasks with detailed instructions.
Move inventory or equipment, fill customer orders, pull material from racks, unload incoming material, load trucks and/or customer vehicles.
Receive, place/return items into stock inventory locations.
Pull and assemble orders based on reviewing work/shipping orders or other documentation.
Tag material for proper identification and complete all required documentation.
Move material from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas using forklift, side loader, or crane.
Operate yard truck for loading and unloading trailers.
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
