Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Warehouse Associate II to support outbound and inbound activities in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will receive products, assist with shipments, and help ensure quality, safety and productivity standards are met.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent, prior material handling experience, and comfort operating equipment. This role involves lifting up to 50 pounds, occasional heights, and overtime with short notice.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfort working with heights 20-30 feet regularly.
• Previous material handling equipment experience (PIT) preferred.
• RF scanner and/or voice to pick experience highly preferred.
• Must be able to work overtime with little to no advance notice.
• Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate into various areas of the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to process orders including picking, quality checks, sorting, consolidating freight, building, wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and preparing orders for shipment.
• Follow directions and adapt priorities while working independently or in a team.
• Pick large case items with equipment or pick small items and place on designated cart.
• Cross-train in multiple areas of the warehouse and participate in projects.
• Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) to check in/out products.
• Operate material handling equipment as required (order picker, forklift, reach truck, turret, pallet jack, walkie rider).
• Complete housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Handle routine tasks with problem resolution.
• Attend associate meetings and report concerns to management.
• Adhere to site safety regulations and wear PPE.
