Job summary

Cardinal Health is hiring an Assoc II, Warehouse Ops in New York for inbound or outbound activities under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor. The role emphasizes quality, safety, productivity and adherence to operational standards.

The position involves picking, packing, palletizing, loading, and preparing orders for shipment, with training provided on day one. This is a full-time on-site role in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience.
• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift.
• Comfort working with heights 20-30 feet regularly.
• RF scanner and/or voice-pick experience preferred.
• Ability to work additional hours and holidays with little to no notice.
• Follow directions and change priorities while working independently or in a team.
• Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate areas.
• Adhere to site safety regulations including PPE such as steel-toed shoes.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs to process orders including picking, QC checks, sorting, consolidating freight, building pallets, packing, loading, and preparing shipments.
• Pick large items with equipment or small items onto designated cart.
• Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas and participate in projects.
• Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) to check in/out products.
• Operate material handling equipment as required by job duties.
• Complete housekeeping and inventory control tasks.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Handle routine tasks and resolve problems with supervision as needed.
• Participate in associate meetings and communicate concerns to management.
• Follow OSHA standards and company policies and procedures.
