Job summary

Scholastic in North Carolina is seeking a Part-time Seasonal Warehouse Associate for the 2nd shift (Mon–Fri, 2pm–8pm). The role pays $17.00 per hour with a $1.50 shift differential starting at 2pm and involves packing book fairs, handling inventory, and assisting with order fulfillment.

Responsibilities include ensuring safe, organized packing, operating basic scanners, and supporting seasonal inventory moves; forklift operation may follow training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate basic product scanner proficiency with minimal errors.
• Strong team player and ability to get along with co-workers.
• Good verbal/written communication skills, basic math, and ability to read English documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in producing book fairs by packing cases, boxes, and displays with product.
• Demonstrate proficiency in packing all components for cases, boxes, and displays.
• Meet minimum production, accuracy, or quality standards.
• Ensure outbound items are clean, safe, and in good condition.
• Assist in processing returned book fairs and replenishment of pick locations.
• Monitor inventory levels on applicable product lines.
• Learn basic scanner proficiency and use for replenishment requests.
• Assist in picking and packing customer reorders.
• Maintain neat, safe, and organized work area.
• Perform seasonal inventory resets and participate in QA scanning functions.
• Participate in physical inventory and customer appreciation events.
