Job summary

PAW Health Network is seeking a Caregiver Support Staff to join our 24-hour animal care center in Wisconsin. You will support caregivers and medical staff, handle scheduling, processing payments, and ensure smooth front-desk operations during 2 pm–11 pm shifts.

The role emphasizes teamwork, compassionate service, and excellent desk skills. Full-time or part-time opportunities are available with benefits such as paid time off, education allowances, and a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Receptionist with a minimum of 1-year veterinary experience preferred.
• Compassionate and calm team player.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Highly organized and possess computer skills.
• Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset.

Responsibilities

• Greet caregivers in a friendly and timely manner.
• Receive incoming calls, provide available information, and route as needed.
• Ensure caregiver information is recorded accurately and consistently.
• Assist, coordinate and/or perform appointment scheduling between caregivers and medical staff.
• Assist incoming patients based on urgency of care and available staff resources.
• Perform clerical duties, including but not limited to filing, copying, faxing, linking, emailing, mailing & scanning.
• Process payments for invoices and reconcile cash drawer at end of day.
• Utilize the clinic's practice management software to finalize invoices and record all sales.
• Coordinate with the Medical Support Team to answer caregiver questions.
• Understand hospital logistics to maintain efficiency and reduce costs.
• Be a resource for inventory control and loss prevention.
• Ensure front lobby remains clean throughout shift.
• Attend Collaborative Meetings and provide feedback to improve efficiency.
