Job summary

BookNook Inc. is seeking USA-based math tutors for online, 1099-independent contractor work. Sessions are typically 30 minutes, with most demand during the 5:00 PM–7:00 PM ET window.

Tutors select grades K–8, set their own hours, and must commit to attending the majority of claimed sessions. Experience as a classroom teacher or in tutoring is preferred, with a college degree. Pay is $20 per hour, and there is potential for incentive payments.

Qualifications

• Classroom teacher or tutoring experience; EL/ESL/ELL or coaching background preferred.
• Comfort delivering pre-designed math lessons to students.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-designed math lessons and provide practice extension materials.
• Build rapport with students and create a supportive learning environment.
• Ensure attendance consistency by engaging in a majority of scheduled sessions.
