Job summary

The Arizona Humane Society is seeking a full-time Urgent Care Supervisor to lead our Urgent Care team in Phoenix. This leadership role covers a Wednesday-Saturday evening shift (5:30 PM–2:30 AM) and focuses on delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced veterinary setting.

You will supervise veterinary technicians, coordinate schedules, mentor staff, and collaborate with veterinarians to maintain high standards of client service and clinical documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from technical school (preferred) plus two years of practical experience in a veterinary clinic and at least two years of supervisory experience.
• Work well both independently and cooperatively as part of the team.
• Must work collaboratively with clinic Leadership, Veterinarians, and Staff.
• Ability to remain composed while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to solve complex problems and balance multiple priorities.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills, deescalation skills, and ability to resolve conflict.
• Proficiency with or able to learn/use Daysmart.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Urgent Care clinic and lead the veterinary technicians.
• Coordinate staff schedules; provide coaching and performance feedback; train and mentor new team members.
• Partner with veterinarians to ensure seamless communication with clients and manage escalated concerns with professionalism.
• Maintain accurate medical records and clinic documentation.
• Monitor medical supply inventory and DEA drug logs; ensure compliance and safety.
