Job summary

Telecare seeks a Unit Clerk to support nursing and clinical staff at Heritage Psychiatric Health Facility in Oakland, CA. The role is clerical/technical and involves contact with clients served, with shifts 3:00 PM–11:30 PM on Mondays.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 6 months of unit clerk experience, knowledge of medical terminology and EHR, and CPR/CPI/First Aid certification within 60 days of employment, plus post-offer screenings as applicable.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months experience as a unit clerk or administrative support staff in a health care environment
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• High school graduation or a G.E.D. equivalent
• Must be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment

Responsibilities

• The Unit Clerk provides support services to the nursing, clinical, and medical staff. Duties are typically clerical and technical in nature and will involve contact with members served.
