Job summary

The Ohio State University Medical Center is seeking a Unit Clerk Associate to support the East Hospital, Tower 9 Surgical Musculoskeletal unit. You will coordinate the Unit Communication Center and help ensure accurate information flow to the patient care team.

Responsibilities include maintaining patient information, safeguarding privacy, and supporting nursing staff under the RN in charge to deliver excellent patient care on a 40-hour, regular schedule.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1 year of relevant experience required.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Unit Communication Center through issue identification, prioritization, decision-making, resource identification, time management and efficient work practices.
• Assist with hospital client/guest relations and intra- and interdepartmental communications to support patient care.
