Job summary

The Ohio State University Medical Center seeks a Unit Clerk Associate on the Tower 9 Surgical unit at East Hospital for a M-F shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. The UCA supports the patient care team and coordinates the Unit Communication Center to ensure smooth operations.

Under RN supervision, you will handle patient information, privacy, and interdepartmental communications, contributing to efficient care delivery and service quality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1 year of relevant experience required.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Unit Communication Center, prioritizing and disseminating information to the patient care team.
• Maintain health care information and records while protecting patient privacy.
• Support intra- and interdepartmental communications and hospital client/guest relations.
• Assist in managing information technology and equipment used on the unit to enhance patient care.
