Job summary

The City of Stevens Point is seeking a Production Assistant to support Government Access TV programs, including live or taped meetings. The role involves transporting, setting up, and operating equipment across the TV Department’s studio, editing facility, and offices.

It is a year‑round regular part‑time position requiring availability for evenings and special events, with additional hours during vacations or illness of staff. Experience with video and editing is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with video cameras, recording and editing.
• Familiarity with audio and video equipment of all kinds.
• Skill in event photography and videography.
• Trustworthy with little supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, officials and the public.

Responsibilities

• Participate in production of Government Access TV programs, including live and videotaped coverage of government meetings; transport, set up and operate equipment.
• Maintain the TV Department’s studio, editing facility and office.
• Operate all equipment in the TV Department’s studio and editing spaces.
• Perform clerical duties in the office.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
