Job summary

People Incorporated Mental Health Services seeks full-time Treatment Counselors to join our Crisis/IRTS team in Saint Paul locations. Evening shifts 3pm-12:30am, rotating Mon/Tues/Wed or Wed/Thu/Fri with occasional Sat/Sun coverage, and a $1,000 hiring bonus for external candidates.

You will engage clients with person-centered care, conduct assessments and treatment plans, provide crisis intervention, and assist with intake and paperwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or related field with practicum/internship.
• 2,000 hours of supervised experience delivering mental health services.
• 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours with practicum/internship in behavioral sciences.
• Fluent in the non-English language of the client population.
• High school diploma with 4,000 hours supervised experience in mental illness or traumatic brain injury/developmental disabilities.
• Graduate-level behavioral sciences program enrolled and assigned for clinical training.

Responsibilities

• Engage clients in their mental health recovery using person-centered principles.
• Model and apply clinical knowledge to treatment goals and plans.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation prioritizing safety.
• Conduct assessments, plan-of-care reviews, and discharge plans.
• Provide skill-building, teaching, and coaching for clients.
• Assist with intake, program orientation, and paperwork.
• Medication administration per policies and procedures.
