Job summary

People Incorporated Mental Health Services in Minnesota is seeking full-time Treatment Counselors to join our Crisis/IRTS team. We provide direct intensive residential treatment and crisis stabilization in a recovery-focused environment, using person-centered care to engage clients in their mental health recovery.

Evenings schedule, 3pm-12:30am, with rotations across days at Saint Paul locations. Pay range is $24.20-$26.14 per hour, plus a $1,000 hiring bonus for external candidates; weekend

Responsibilities

• May work at other programs to assist with staffing needs and travel between locations.
• Engage clients in their mental health recovery using person-centered approaches.
• Demonstrate clinical knowledge aligned with individual goals and treatment plans.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation while prioritizing safety.
• Prepare assessments, treatment plans, and discharge plans as directed.
• Provide skill-building, teaching, and coaching to clients.
• Assist with intake, orientation, and related paperwork; may travel between locations.

Our Treatment programs use person-centered care to provide direct intensive residential treatment and crisis stabilization mental health services within a recovery and rehabilitative environment.

Schedule

Evenings (FTE 0.9) 3pm-12:30am, rotation of Mon/Tues/Wed and Mon/Tues/Wed/Sat/Sun

Evenings (FTE 0.9) 3pm-12:30am, rotation of Wed/Thu/Fri and Wed/Thu/Fri/Sat/Sun

Pay Range:

$24.20-$26.14/ Hourly, depending on qualifications, plus $1,000 hiring bonus for external candidates!

Shift Differentials

$5/hour weekend shift differential for Saturday & Sunday

$4/hour weekday shift differential for Monday-Friday

Main Job Duties

• May be required to work full or partial shifts at other programs to assist with urgent staffing needs, which may require travel between locations.
• Using and modeling person-centered principles, actively engage clients in their mental health recovery, and develop and maintain appropriate relationships that support the client in meeting their individual goals.
• Demonstrate an intermediate level of clinical knowledge and modeling as it relates to the individual’s goals, treatment plan, and diagnosis.
• Provide and model crisis intervention and de-escalation for clients experiencing mental health symptoms or other emotional and/or behavioral responses while prioritizing client and program safety.
• Conduct assessments and treatment plans, plan-of-care reviews, and discharge plans as needed or directed. Train on preparing assessment and treatment plans, if applicable.
• Provide various skill‑building, teaching, and/or coaching as it relates to the individual.
• Assist with completing necessary client intake and admission paperwork and providing program orientation, if applicable.
• Medication administration in accordance with organization and program policies and procedures, if applicable.
