Job summary

Duke University Transportation Services seeks a capable supervisor to lead the evening shift maintenance operations for the Duke Transit fleet, including buses and shuttles. You will direct and prioritize maintenance activities, ensure safety, and coordinate with dispatch to keep fleet readiness for service.

In this role you will supervise staff, assign work, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions as needed. A CDL with Passenger Endorsement and a valid DOT Medical Card are required.

Qualifications

• Education/experience as described: high school or equivalent; CDL with Passenger Endorsement; DOT Medical Card.
• Three years of transportation services experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of fleet maintenance practices and preventive maintenance workflows.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and prioritize evening shift maintenance operations to ensure fleet readiness.
• Direct and supervise maintenance staff, address performance issues, and administer corrective actions.
• Oversee work orders, track maintenance, and ensure accurate documentation.
