Job summary

The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Therapeutic Program Worker at the Tiffin Developmental Center in Tiffin, Ohio. The role supports residents with daily living skills and independence, applying individualized plans to help achieve goals.

Typical shift is 2:20PM to 10:50PM with a compensation of 23.28 rising to 23.65 after 120 days. This is a permanent, full-time position with extended hours and mandatory overtime at times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Formal arithmetic, basic reading/writing, and English communication skills.
• For vehicular transport roles, valid driver’s license with minimal points.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with eating, bathing, toileting, hygiene, dressing and social skills.
• Implement active treatment activities in gym, pavilion, activity room and pool.
• Support planning and shopping activities and vocational skills.
• Complete daily and monthly documentation, incident reporting and medication reactions.
• Perform light housekeeping in living areas.
• Redirect unsafe actions to foster positive outcomes.
