Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Telemetry Technician for Delnor Telemetry Monitoring on a part-time evening schedule. You will monitor telemetry data to support diagnosis and treatment of heart conditions, with a rotating weekend and holiday pattern.

The role is on-site with a patient-first environment and competitive benefits. Applicants must have ECG interpretation coursework and CPR–Basic Life Support certification.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of ECG interpretation coursework.
• CPR – Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Attaches electrode lead lines to proper body areas.
• Prepares skin and surroundings to ensure valid results.
• Obtains and documents ECG readings as directed.
• Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors.
• Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes.
• Identifies and corrects for artifacts.
• Edits and forwards results to attending physician for analysis and interpretation.
• Maintains ECG equipment and supplies.
