Job summary

Good Samaritan Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 2b Med Telemetry floor–OCE Unit, Orthospine and Bariatric Surgical services. The 32-hour schedule runs 3p–11p with every other weekend, and the role is benefit eligible.

You will provide age-appropriate nursing care, support patient rights and collaborate with the care team. The RN must lift/move patients, communicate in English, and perform treatment calculations as part of daily practice.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred); Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years required.
• License/Certifications: Current RN MA license & BLS required
• Experience: 1-2 years of acute Med/Surg experience strongly preferred in hospital setting
• Knowledge: Excellent assessment skills, clinical skills and organizational skills and charge capabilities

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse provides care addressing the needs of age groups from infant to elderly and respects patient rights and values.
• Assumes responsibility for quality of nursing care, health maintenance, teaching, counseling, collaboration and restoration of optimal functioning.
• May delegate nursing tasks to other nurses/personnel with provider oversight for patient outcomes.
• Must have the ability to lift, transfer and move patients; communicate in English; perform required treatment calculations.
