Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 2b Med Telemetry floor- OCE Unit, Orthopaedic spine and Bariatric Surgical Unit. Schedule: 32 hours, 3p-11p, every other weekend; benefit eligible.

The RN provides comprehensive nursing care across age groups, maintains patient rights, coordinates care, teaches and counsels, and may delegate tasks as appropriate. Requires Nursing Diploma/ASN/BSN, MA RN license and BLS; 1–2 years acute Med/Surg preferred.

Qualifications

Education: Nursing Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred).
License/Certifications: Current RN MA license & BLS required.
Experience: 1-2 years of acute Med/Surg experience strongly preferred in hospital setting.
Knowledge: Excellent assessment skills, clinical skills and organizational skills and charge capabilities.

The Registered Nurse provides care addressing ages from infant to elderly for diverse needs and aligns nursing practice with our mission and values.
The RN assumes responsibility for quality of nursing care, including health maintenance, teaching, counseling, collaborative planning and restoration of functioning.
