Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology or completion of surgical tech apprenticeship or military program.
• LPN with surgical experience or equivalent competency.
• CST certification preferred but not required in Iowa; required if working in Illinois.
• BLS mandatory.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for procedures, including instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Maintain sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Scrub in across general surgery, gynecology, urology, podiatry and plastics as needed.
