Banner Health in Glendale, AZ is seeking a Certified Surgical First Assistant to support surgeons in the operating room during the evening shift. You will perform intraoperative technical functions and assist with preoperative and postoperative duties to facilitate patient care.

You will work closely with physicians and staff in a busy Level I Trauma center at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, ensuring aseptic technique, instrument handling, and timely, safe care for diverse surgical

Formación

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge and current basic life support certification.
• Current certification as a surgical technologist.
• Must be registered with State Regulatory Agency.
• 2+ years of operating room experience and scrub proficiency in at least 2 surgical specialties.

Responsabilidades

• Provides surgical assistance to surgeon for perioperative patient cases.
• Anticipates surgeon's needs; passes instruments and maintains hemostasis.
• Demonstrates aseptic technique and universal precautions throughout the procedure.
• Assists with plan of care under physician direction.
• Performs duties per policies, standards, and safety requirements.
• Serves as First Assistant to a Surgeon in the OR with safety protocols.
