Summary

The Evening Supervisor is primarily responsible for assisting the Director of Health Services and Assistant Director of Health Services in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the evening functions of the Nursing Department(s) in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our health campus while ensuring that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

The Evening Supervisor is primarily responsible for assisting the Director of Health Services and Assistant Director of Health Services in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the evening functions of the Nursing Department(s) in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our health campus while ensuring that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

Schedule
  • Monday - Friday Evening Shift
  • 1pm-9:30pm, 2pm-10:30pm, or 3pm-11:30pm
  • Clinical Leadership on-call rotation as required
Payment

Evening Supervisors are eligible for additional shift and weekend pay differential.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist the ADHS and DHS in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the nursing service department and its programs in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Make reports and recommendations to ADHS/DHS regarding the operation of the nursing service department.
  • Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
  • Manage reportables with supervision from ED/DHS.
  • Complete nursing admission assessments and baseline care plans for new admissions.
  • Perform MDS section GG Functional assessments within required timeframes.
  • Ensure accurate daily skilled documentation.
  • Perform administrative duties like completing forms, reports, evaluations, and charting.
  • Supervise and assist with all resident care according to assessed needs and care plans.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Leadership and supervisory abilities, with a willingness to work harmoniously with staff.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English.
  • Ability to make independent decisions regarding job duties.
  • Ability to interact tactfully with personnel, residents, families, visitors, agencies, vendors, and the public.
  • Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, laws, regulations, and guidelines relevant to long-term care.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Previous leadership experience preferred but not required.
  • Unencumbered LPN or RN license in the state of employment.
