Job summary

OU Health in Oklahoma City is seeking an entry-level Sterile Processing Technician I for the Adult SPD, evenings shift 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. Under supervision, you will clean, decontaminate, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instrumentation and reusable supplies, supporting safe patient care.

No prior hospital experience required; High School Diploma or GED; CSPDT or CRCST certification within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: No experience required; hospital experience preferred.
• Certification: CSPDT or CRCST within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and wraps instrument sets.
• Delivers surgical instruments on a timely basis.
• Inspects instruments for cleanliness and repair.
• Operates autoclaves and loads sterilizers.
• Completes sterilization logs.
• Follows universal precautions and uses protective attire.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
