Job summary

OrthoNebraska is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support the SPD department with decontamination, inspection, packaging and autoclaving of instrument sets. This role helps ensure sterile equipment availability for the surgical team while upholding safety and quality standards.

Required is a High School diploma or GED; Sterile Processing Certification preferred and 1+ year of surgical experience is preferred to join a team focused on patient safety and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of instrumentation preferred and attention to detail essential.
• Familiarity with sanitization, safety and infection control standards.
• Prepares and sterilizes instrument sets following approved procedures.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, inspect, package and autoclave medical instrument sets.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes per regulations.
• Ensure instruments are functional and identify repair needs.
• Support a safe, collaborative SPD workflow and meet quality targets.
