Job summary

Banner Health in Mesa, AZ is seeking an SPD Technician for the Sterile Processing Dept-Hosp. The role ensures sterile instrumentation and disposable supplies are ready for procedures and supports multiple departments. You will decontaminate, assemble, and package instruments, track inventory, and maintain quality logs.

Evening shift runs 1 PM to 9:30 PM, Mon-Fri, with weekend on-call as needed. SPD Certification or prior SPD experience preferred; mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

Qualifications

• SPD Certification preferred or prior SPD experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills needed.
• Attention to detail important for instrument tracking and quality logs.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, assemble, and package surgical instruments per IFU and maintain sterilization logs.
• Interpret surgical schedules and communicate instrument needs to minimize delays.
• Track instrumentation and identify replacements to ensure OR readiness.
