Job summary

University of Missouri Health Care in Missouri is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician Certified to join our team at the Missouri Orthopedic Institute in Columbia. This on-site role focuses on preparing and sterilizing instrumentation, testing equipment, and ensuring patient safety through precise work.

Qualified candidates will hold CRCST or CST credentials and can perform duties Monday through Friday, 4pm-10pm.

Qualifications

• CRCST certification within one year of hire as a condition of continued employment.
• CST certification or NBSTSA credential is preferred.
• Completion of some college coursework may be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, assemble and test instrumentation for proper functioning.
• Lead capacity: assist with teaching of new hires and serve as a resource for other staff.
• Perform decontamination, inspection, cleaning, assembling and packaging of medical/surgical materials to ensure sterile supply.
