Responsibilities

• Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, sterilize, store, and distribute reusable instruments and equipment.
• Ensure sterility and functionality; follow regulatory guidelines.
• Collect used equipment for sorting and decontamination.
• Manually clean supplies and operate decontamination equipment.
• Prepare and pack decontaminated items for sterilization.
• Monitor sterilization equipment and report issues.
• Act as a preceptor for new employees.
• Inspect supplies to ensure proper cleaning and sanitation.
• Maintain records of sterilization procedures and inventory.
• Control inventory, reorder supplies, and check expiration dates.
