Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Tyler, TX is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Supervisor for an evening, full-time role. You will lead the SPD team, ensure proper reprocessing of surgical instruments, and maintain compliance with health and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has several years in sterile processing, a leadership background, and the required CBSPD or IAHCSMM certification, plus BLS within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 4 years of hands-on SPD experience with one year of leadership.
• Active certification in sterile processing/central sterile via CBSPD or IAHCSMM.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provides support, training, and communication regarding the reprocessing of surgical instruments and trays to our facility in compliance with the Department of Health, TJC, OSHA, CDC, AAMI and AORN standards and facilities goals and policies.
• Coordinates and supervises day-to-day operations of SPD employees.
