Job summary

Tyler Regional Hospital is seeking an Evening Shift, full-time Sterile Processing Supervisor in Tyler, TX, to lead SPD operations and ensure instrument reprocessing compliance with DoH, TJC, OSHA, CDC, and AAMI standards.

You will provide staff training, coordinate daily SPD activities, and collaborate with clinical teams to maintain efficiency and safety across the facility.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 4 years of hands-on SPD experience with 1 year in leadership.
• Active CBSPD or IAHCSMM certification.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Provides support, training, and communication regarding the reprocessing of surgical instruments and trays to our facility in compliance with the Department of Health, TJC, OSHA, CDC, AAMI and AORN standards and facilities goals and policies. Coordinates and supervises day-to-day operations of SPD employees.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED required. 4 years of hands-on SPD experience with one year of leadership, including lead experience. Active certification in sterile processing/central sterile via CBSPD or IAHCSMM.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
