Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 3 years direct experience in sterile processing or perioperative settings.
• Equivalent mix of education and experience acceptable.
• CRCST or CSPDT certifications within 1.5 years or substantially equivalent credentials.

Responsibilities

• Prepares instruments, equipment and supplies using sterile techniques.
• Ensures proper care, handling and turnover of instruments between cases.
• Assists clinical staff with patient care and advocacy tasks.
• Decontaminates, processes, assembles, stores and distributes medical devices.
• Oversees training of Sterile Processing employees.
