Houston Methodist is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to provide day-to-day comprehensive, patient-oriented pharmacy services, including processing orders, therapy review, and patient education. This role collaborates with other health care professionals to optimize drug therapies for effectiveness and safety.

The position includes supervising pharmacy technicians and students and may serve as a preceptor, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of pharmaceuticals. Evening shift; non-exempt status.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist licensure in good standing; Texas licensure or eligibility.
• Graduate of education program approved by credentialing body.
• PPC Pharmacist Preceptor Cert within 15 months.
• IV Certification within 90 days; BLS certification within 90 days.
• Experience preferred in hospital or acute care settings.

Responsabilités

• Provide day-to-day patient-oriented pharmacy services and therapy review.
• Educate patients and care teams; collaborate to optimize therapy and safety.
• Oversee pharmacy technicians and students; may precept, ensuring timely delivery of medications.
• Process orders and maintain high standards of accuracy and safety.
