Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our team in Dothan, AL. This role involves preparing and organizing clinical specimens for analysis, ensuring accurate labeling, and routing samples through the workflow in a fast-paced lab setting.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and data-entry proficiency. It supports a Monday–Friday evening shift (3:30pm - 9:00pm) with the opportunity to contribute to accurate testing and timely results.

Qualifications

• Minimum HS diploma or GED requirement.
• Ability to enter data accurately in timely manner.
• Comfortable in a team-based laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to staging areas.
• Identify and label specimens accurately.
• Pack and ship specimens to testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Prepare and store excess specimen samples.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and promptly.
• Resolve and document any problem specimens.
