Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processing Supervisor for our Chantilly, VA location. The role supervises Accessioning operations, mentors staff, and ensures proper staffing and workflow for the 5:00pm–1:30am shift.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with 2+ years in a clinical lab environment; an associate degree and leadership experience are preferred. Strong computer skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associates degree preferred with supervisory experience.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of the Accessioning department.
• Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Directly supervise, train, and mentor non-technical personnel.
• Monitor daily workflow and schedule adequate coverage.
• Ensure shifts are properly staffed and payroll/files are maintained.
• Perform quality assurance checks and maintain QA records.
