Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. seeks a Laboratory specialist to coordinate all aspects of specimen collections or processing to meet the lab support needs for diverse patient groups in Atlanta.

You will support neonate through geriatric patients under supervision of the Laboratory Manager. Responsibilities include recommending and implementing changes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supervising assigned personnel while maintaining clear written and oral communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related science with 1 year clinical lab experience, OR alternative degree with health-care experience.
• Knowledge of CAP, AABB, GA DHR, Joint Commission and CLIA requirements.
• Ability to supervise assigned personnel and communicate effectively in writing and speech.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of specimen collections or processing to meet lab support needs.
• Recommend and implement changes to improve specimen procurement and processing.
• Work under the Laboratory Manager to ensure compliant and efficient operations.
