Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Technical Assistant to support patient care across neonate to geriatric populations. The role includes assigning duties, collecting specimens when needed, and processing samples to ensure accurate results.

You'll assist with laboratory data systems, handle ordering, cancellations and charges, and work a schedule of Sun to Thu 10p–6:30a with every third weekend.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with phlebotomy training or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to follow procedures for specimen handling and clerical processing.
• Capable of locating blood vessels and has color vision acuity.
• Must pass color-acuity screening.

Responsibilities

• Assign duties and tasks for the Laboratory Technical Assistant.
• Perform specimen collection and processing for patients across age groups as needed.
• Support data collection systems and ensure proper ordering, cancellations and charges.
