Job summary

Ravago in Illinois is hiring a Warehouse Associate for the 2nd shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday). Under direct supervision, you will assist in receiving and shipping materials by hand and with a forklift, clamp truck, or other powered equipment.

You will read picking tickets, verify items against bills of lading, load trucks, inspect packages for damages, and help maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED
• Six months or more related experience
• Two years forklift experience
• Ability to read and understand pick tickets and bills of lading
• Basic arithmetic
• Ability to operate hand tools and mechanical equipment
• Must perform each essential duty satisfactorily

Responsibilities

• Read picking tickets and shipping documents to determine items needed
• Pull and prepare orders for shipment by verifying product name, lot numbers, weight, and codes
• Inspect packages for damages prior to shipment
• Load trucks following loading guidelines
• Assist with condensing rows and material movement
• Record new locations and maintain forklift/equipment
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and adhere to policies
• Unload deliveries by hand or forklift
• Verify inbound against vendor documentation and generate receiving labels
• Assist with warehouse housekeeping and recycling
