Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a School Custodian for the 2nd shift (Wednesday - Sunday) at Maine East High School to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

The role requires general cleaning, basic maintenance, and building support tasks. You will report to the Director of Buildings and Grounds and school administration, with a focus on reliability, safety, and efficient daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial, maintenance, or facility operations experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and safely move furniture and equipment.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, chemicals, and safety procedures.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions independently.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism with staff, students, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• General Cleaning & Sanitation: sweep, mop, dust, and service restrooms.
• Building Support & Operations: move furniture and assist with opening/closing procedures.
• Additional Responsibilities: respond to building needs and complete work orders promptly.
• Work with staff to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming school spaces.
