Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Hyperbaric Registered Nurse to manage patient care in the HBO program. The role requires MA RN licensure, a state-accredited nursing program, and current BLS; ACLS is required or must be maintained.

The RN will lead care from admission through discharge, collaborate with physicians, and participate in governance and quality initiatives. The position offers an evening shift and a signing bonus may be available.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts licensure and registration.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS is required for every RN; ACLS current or in process.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Nursing Process from admission to discharge for patient care.
• Perform patient assessment and reassessment per procedure.
• Develop and coordinate individual care plans including discharge planning.
• Direct and evaluate nursing care in assigned setting.
• Delegate tasks according to competency and job description.
• Document patient care per procedure.
• Develop and document education plans for patient and family.
• Collaborate with health care providers to ensure quality of care.
• Administer medications, therapies, and operate equipment as required.
• Participate in nursing governance activities and professional development.
• Support performance improvement and quality initiatives in daily operations.
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety standards, and attendance.
