Job summary

The role reports to the day-shift manager and focuses on achieving daily KPIs, optimizing production methods, and developing staff through performance reviews and coaching. The ideal candidate has strong leadership in heavy manufacturing and the ability to read blueprints and procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in heavy manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate diverse groups of individuals.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Executes the schedule as determined and provided by day shift manager.
• Ensures daily KPIs are achieved. Identifies root cause for misses and develops countermeasures to ensure targets can be achieved.
• Directs workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products which fail to meet standards.
• Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
