Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 3 years related experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business materials.
• Ability to write policies and procedures.
• Basic math and cost accounting understanding.

Responsibilities

• Assigns work and directs workflow through the department for efficient operation while maintaining low costs.
• Supervises one area within the plant, typically 5 to 10 employees.
• Ensures a safe, healthy working environment and provides training on equipment and safety.
• Generates employee involvement and motivation to improve production and safety.
• Input on performance evaluations, hiring, disciplinary actions and promotions.
