Job summary

Nashville Wire Products is hiring Machine Operator Setup Technicians for its Material Handling Division on the overnight shift in Northwest Nashville, Tennessee. This full-time role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining automated welding and metal forming machinery used to create steel wire shelving for pallet racks for distributors and major retailers like Amazon, Walmart, and Lowes.

Shift schedule: Monday through Friday, 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM (50 hours per week most weeks).

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read a tape measure.
• Basic mathematical skills for setup and inspection.
• Ability to communicate technical information and troubleshoot machine performance.
• Experience with computer-operated equipment setup is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Machine Setup & Programming: Input data and adjust computerized production machinery within established standards.
• Equipment Operation: Set up and monitor automated welding and metal forming equipment.
• Maintenance & Quality Control: Perform preventive maintenance, conduct quality inspections, and rework non-conforming parts.
• Training & Reporting: Train other operators on safety and quality standards, keep production counts, and complete daily paperwork.
