Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) seeks an experienced registered nurse to join our care team for evening shifts at the Allentown campus. Provides direct and indirect patient care under a physician's plan of care and in accordance with state standards.

You will collaborate with nursing staff to ensure safe, high-quality care, manage care plans, and participate in improving patient outcomes. Requires Specialized Diploma in Nursing and PA RN licensure; 4 years in acute care.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma in Nursing required.
• RN - Licensed in PA required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily activities to ensure effective operations and communications and that departments remain in compliance with all regulatory bodies.
• Supervises, monitors and evaluates the quality and effectiveness of patient care, including in-home evaluations of field staff.
• Reviews and monitors appropriateness of nursing care plans and directs the staff to modify plans.
• Coordinates and participates in on-call responsibilities and maintains confidentiality of patient and proprietary information.
• Develops, implements, evaluates and participates in continuing education and orientation programs.
• Identifies opportunities for improvement and communicates to managers and administration.
• Participates in professional advisory committees and infection prevention teams, including chart audits.
