Job summary

CJ Schwan’s is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor for our Stilwell, OK frozen desserts plant. You will guide a team of maintenance technicians on 2nd shift, overseeing preventive, corrective, and reactive maintenance for plant premises and line production equipment. Typical hours are 1 p.m.

to 10 p.m., Monday–Friday. The role requires 4+ years in maintenance with 2+ years in a leadership capacity, plus strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems and CMMS (SAP PM).

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; 2-year or 4-year degree preferred or related trade cert.
• 4+ years maintenance experience with 2+ years in a lead/supervisor role.
• Experience with fasteners, lubrication, mechanical drive systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, fabrication, electrical power/controls, refrigeration, boilers, HVAC.
• Familiarity with food plant production equipment and sanitation standards.
• Knowledge of EPA regulations and safety best practices; SAP experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment and full regulatory compliance.
• Lead and prioritize daily maintenance activities to support production.
• Monitor KPIs, equipment reliability, and root cause problem-solving efforts.
• Oversee equipment repairs, outages, contractors, and vendor work execution.
• Manage maintenance budget and spare parts; ensure CMMS compliance.
• Improve shop organization and equipment condition using 5S and defect elimination.
• Develop, coach, and manage the maintenance team, including hiring and performance management.
• Promote adherence to company values, policies, and standards of conduct.
