Job summary

Sundae Ice Cream in Basalt, CO seeks a Shift Leader to guide a small team during evening shifts this summer and beyond. You will serve ice cream, ensure friendly guest experiences, and manage stock with care.

• Total compensation = averages between $20.00-$25.00 per hour (includes base + tips)
• Evening availability, approximately 5pm - 10/11pm

Shift Leader Responsibilities:

• Timely and efficiently open the store, either alone or with a team
• Confidently and timely prepare food items; maintain an elevated awareness of stock levels
• Accurately communicate and serve customers with joy, demonstrate thorough knowledge of all product details and service standards
• Maintain responsible cash handling and perform closing cash out procedures accurately
• Exemplify Sundae’s customer service standards; execute with pride and leadership
• Participate in and contribute to all staff meetings and team cleaning tasks
• Lead a team to success during a shift by setting the example for positive customer interactions, portion control, and cleanliness standards

• 1+ years of customer service experience preferred
• Some foodservice experience preferred
• Must be 16 or older
• Must have work availability throughout summer season (approximately 9/30/2026)

Physical Requirements:

• Move, traverse or remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours
• Constantly use manual (e.g., scooping ice cream) and automatic food service equipment and touchscreens
• Regularly move up to 25 pounds for a distance of 50 feet or more
• Occasionally ascend/descend ladder to clean or lift items stored above
• Occasionally position self to clean, maintain equipment, and retrieve items below counter height
